By Zack Quaintance — In a move that just makes all kinds of sense, DC Comics is capitalizing on excitement for its new film, The Batman, with a set of variant covers scheduled to release throughout March. These are, exactly as the concept implies, alternate comic book covers that feature imagery from The Batman (mostly Robert Pattinson in the new Bat-suit, but some other stuff as well). You can check them all out below, featuring new work from Lee Bermejo, Jenny Frison, Jonboy Meyers, and more.

THE BATMAN movie variant covers

So there you have it, the of The Batman-themed variant comics covers coming from DC all throughout March. Kind of interesting artifacts for collectors, seeing as how the aesthetic of the movie is very much its own thing (as most Batman movies have tended to be), and not really a direct adaptation of any one look from any one comic. But who knows, if this film is beloved enough, maybe someday decades from now, we’ll be reading a The Batman ‘22 miniseries in the same spirit as the recently-concluded Batman ‘89 comic.
