Best comiXology Sales: NYCC Weekend

Amazing Spider-Man: The Clone Conspiracy
Writers:
Christos N. Gage and Dan Slott
Artist: Jim Cheung
Publisher: Marvel Comics
Amidst a gauntlet of his deadliest rogues, an old foe returns to the fore. Loved ones lost are dead no more as Peter Parker plunges headlong into THE CLONE CONSPIRACY - a blockbuster event series from A-List creators Dan Slott and Jim Cheung! Prepare yourself for THE Spidey story of 2016 as the writer who brought you Spider-Verse, Superior Spider-Man and Spider-Island brings you the next defining chapter in the wallcrawler's life! The identity of the man in the red suit has been revealed. The Jackal has returned, more driven and determined than ever. He's off ered Spidey's greatest rogues a chance to reunite with their loved ones in exchange for loyalty. But to what end? With the Rhino, the Lizard, Electro and even Doctor Octopus at his side, things are looking bleak. But who else from Spider-Man's past has reappeared?!
Why It’s Cool: Look, I’ll be honest here — this really isn’t the best comic we’ve ever had on this list, but it is probably one of the best comics you can read if you want some context for the new 19-part storyline that just began in Amazing Spider-Man #75. It really speaks to not only the Ben Reilly of it all, but to the business plot point that’s so key to the book, too.

$6.99

Batman: The Cult
Writer:
Jim Starlin
Artist: Bernie Wrightson
Publisher: DC Comics
A mysterious religious cult enters Gotham City and begins to make moves against politicians and major players--even making an attempt on Commissioner Gordon's life. It's up to Batman to stop them, but they look to make the Dark Knight one of their own...and they just might succeed!
Why It’s Cool: These comics are so good that they aren’t really on sale, at least not in the usual slashed-price trade paperback format. They are, however, offering a fantastic complete story for the reasonable price of about $8. They are also appearing here now because this is just a fantastic Batman read to do during this month and spooky season. Thank me later for bringing them to your attention.
Price: $1.99 per issue or $7.96 for all four

The Black Monday Murders, Vol. 1 - Vol. 2
Writer:
Jonathan Hickman
Artist: Tomm Coker
Publisher: Image Comics
"MAMMON" ALL HAIL GOD MONEY! From JONATHAN HICKMAN (EAST OF WEST, Secret Wars, Avengers) and TOMM COKER (UNDYING LOVE) comes a new crypto-noir series about the power of dirty, filthy money... and exactly what kind of people you can buy with it. THE BLACK MONDAY MURDERS is classic occultism where the various schools of magic are actually clandestine banking cartels who control all of society: a secret world where vampire Russian oligarchs, Black popes, enchanted American aristocrats, and hitmen from the International Monetary Fund work together to keep ALL OF US in our proper place.
Why It’s Cool: Sure, House of X/Powers of X is going to get all the attention on account of having revitalized a beloved comics franchise and also just being very very good…but you know what’s somehow even better? If you follow me on social media, you might — Black Monday Murders. It’s really Hickman in Big Idea Mode at his finest, and expertly illustrated by Tomm Coker. Now how much glowing praise does a guy have to heap on this book to get a volume 3?
Price: $7.99 for volume one, $6.49 for volume 2, or $14.48 for both volumes
Buy Them Here: Black Monday Murders Vol. 1, and Black Monday Murders Vol. 2

Omega Men by Tom King: The Deluxe Edition
Writer:
Tom King
Artist: Barnaby Bagenda
Publisher: DC Comics
Award-winning writer Tom King's critically acclaimed 12-issue Omega Men series is now available in deluxe hardcover format for the first time ever! The Omega Men have murdered White Lantern Kyle Rayner, and now the universe wants them to pay! Who are these intergalactic criminals-and is there more to their actions than meets the eye?
Why It’s Cool: Before Tom King blew up in comics with The Vision, there was Omega Men (which I bought in single issues and will always bring up as a way to make myself feel cool). To this day, this is still one of my favorite Tom King comics, his original D-List character epic that he plays in a new modern way with a very talented artist. If you haven’t read this book, do yourself a favor and pick it up in full now. The price for all 12 issues of this one is fantastic.
Price: $16.99

Every ninety years, twelve gods incarnate as humans. They are loved. They are hated. In two years, they are dead. Welcome to THE WICKED + THE DIVINE, where gods are the ultimate pop stars. But remember: just because you're immortal, doesn't mean you're going to live forever.
Why It’s Cool: Have you been reading Alex Batt’s excellent Wic + Div Re-Read Project? If not, you should be — it’s fantastic. And if you fancy reading along with him as he goes, you can do so now fairly easily by buying the entire series in full right now on sale this week.
