EXCLUSIVE COVER REVEAL: Lost Souls channels old school RPGs

By Zack Quaintance — Today we are honored to have an exclusive cover unveiling for Lost Souls - The Trials of Casci Capricor, a young adult fantasy graphic novella from the team of writer Eastin DeVerna and artist Shawn Daley. We’ve been a fan of this duo for a while (as well as DeVerna’s other work), and this project looks absolutely fantastic. You can check out the cover below.

There are a couple of things about this cover that really draw me in. The first is the light color palette, which does a lot of great work to give this book a unique feel. The other quality I really like here is that the character design evokes the feel of an old-school RPG. I’m definitely getting visions of Final Fantasy III and Chrono Trigger, and I wasn’t surprised at all to hear the games of that era are an inspiration here…anyway! Check out the cover below along with a few words from Eastin about it…enjoy!

EXCLUSIVE COVER REVEAL: Lost Souls - The Trials of Casci Capricor

Eastin DeVerna on the new cover…

“I wanted to get some of those heavier themes that they dealt with, death, attacking god, etc. but also incorporate some of the zany elements like a cooking contest with a humanoid cat who’s the best chef in the afterlife.”

The pre-launch page for the Lost Souls - The Trials of Casci Capricor Kickstarter Camapaign is coming soon, so keep an eye out for that one, you’ll want to sign up. Now, I’m off to play some FF XIV, thinking of course of the old school RPGs that got me here in the first place…
