By Zack Quaintance — I think it’s fairly safe to say that the comics market is just brimming with fantastic artists, as capable as they are innovative. As such, we’ve seen an influx as of late in projects that tell a single story or present a series of stories around a singular theme — illustrated by a group of artists doing short work. And today we have a new one of these projects to share with you — Jack the Radio: Creatures.
Jack the Radio: Creatures is an anthology that features comics and pinups from 30 illustrators and colorists. And it’s a wide and varied range too, with creators hailing from eight countries. Published by A Wave Blue World, Creatures is sort of a hybrid, mixed media project, tying in as it does to the band Jack The Radio’s new album of the same name, Creatures. In addition to the marquee artists from across the globe, the entire project is written by the band’s singer/guitarist, George Hage. It’s all a very cool project, and one that is perhaps singular within comics in its tie-ins and scope.
